Senate candidate Gary Chambers is no stranger to controversy. Recently he smoked marijuana in a an ad for his Senate run. Even more recent however is his ad wherein he burns a confederate flag. Some Louisianans are not happy though.

“The man is burning our heritage. Frankly this is the only appropriate response.” One man who wished to remain anonymous said. “As far as I’m concerned this flag right here, that I’m burning. This stands for tyranny against MY ancestors and furthermore- sorry this Klan hood is awful warm.” He said before lifting his hood to speak further.

Several American flags stood in a burning pile at a gathering of those protesting candidates actions.

“People shit all over the south, but I tell you, there’s a lot more of us than you think. We are the silent majority. We got support from all over the world. Just yesterday Sen. Ted Cruz stopped by with both U.S. and Canadian flags to burn, and he raised his hand in solidarity with us.”

“You can’t just burn this flag. It stands for everything we believe in.”

Some counter protesters insisted the “stars and bars” as they’re referred to only stood for white supremacy.

“That’s ridiculous. My family didn’t even own slaves, they had to work the land themselves. They were expensive as hell.” One counter protester asked why their family fought to preserve a system wherein their competitors got free labor as opposed to his family. The Klansmen did not respond.
